Outraged Parents speak out about Katy Perry's Breast on Sesame Street. Why are they looking at her breasts?

What is the big Deal?

According to many outraged parents on the web, Sesame Street and Elmo is now promoting sex with their latest guest Katy Perry. Apparently none of these parents that are speaking out about Katy Perry have ever taken their children to the swimming pool, Wal-mart or even their local grocery store. What are these parents thinking? What are your thoughts? Should we now change the name to Sexame Street instead of Sesame Street. Do I feel they did anything wrong? As the parent of 7 children, ages ranging from 2 to 9 and 6 of them being girls, my official opinion is “Let’s have Lady Gaga on Sesame Street and then let’s see how the parents react.” Check out the video:

Come on people I think we have a lot more to be worried about than cleavage showing on a pretty girl. Let’s just tell our children they should just be themselves. They should not try to be like anyone else. Remember, the whole goal with raising children is to teach them to make the right decisions for themselves. Just My Thoughts!

That’s right the US Department of Energy and the Ad Council have enlisted the help of America’s favorite fairy, Tinkerbell, to help children understand more about saving energy. Energy consumption has increased tremendously over the years with the latest technological advances. In our household we unplug anything that we are not using such as our microwave, coffee pot, toaster, lamps, and so on. We turn all of our lights off at night except one at night and we don’t charge our electric toys and gadgets unless we are going to use them. Lights are off in every room that are not being used as well as during the day, the children’s lights remain off and the windows are open. What are things that you are doing to preserve energy consumption?

Is there a problem when you can't even refer your mechanic to your friends for them to have some automotive work done.

Why is it that when you need a reputable automotive repair specialist, there is not one availible anywhere? We have had our 97 Chevy Suburban that we have had electrical issues with for the past 2 years and we have replaced the battery 7 times now and all of the repair shops that we have taken it to have told us one of two things. Number one, they have no clue what is draining the battery, or number two there is no problem.

So what I did was I decide to ask several friends who they trusted with their automobiles and can you guess the answer they gave me? They all have avoided the topic of who their mechanic was. Why is this? Have mechanics gotten so bad that no one wants to refer them? Isn’t the best way to say thank you to someone who is in business for themselves, is to send them a referral or maybe I am wrong? If you are a mechanic and you are reading this let me tell you the issue so you too can ponder what might be happening.

When you have the dome lights engaged, meaning they are set to turn on when the door opens, they will sometimes/not always remain on and while you are driving they will flicker from time to time. However, I have them disabled now and if I don’t drive the car within 4 days the battery is dead. Within 4 days I can jump-start the car and recharge the battery, however on or around the 6th or 7th day the battery is drained completely of its entire power. At this point you can jump the battery but it will not maintain a charge at all. I have even left it running for 45 minutes to see if it will charge and there will not even be enough charge, turning the car off, to lock the doors with power locks. I understand that there are many electrical lines that flow through the car but this has to have something to do with the lighting system. I have tried taking out the fuse for the lighting system but come to find out it also controls the headlights as well. There goes that idea. I am completely at a loss.

The car is drive-able but now the transmission needs to be looked at and frankly I trust no one and have thought about learning how to replace or fix the transmission myself. This is how distrusting I am. I have spent over $500 on this electrical issue just to hear that they have no clue what is wrong or that there is nothing wrong when clearly a suburban is not suppose to go through 7 of the best batteries O’Reilly’s has to offer in 2 years. I consider myself a positive person but something has to be said when you can’t even trust your mechanic enough to refer them to your friends.

What am I to do?

When it comes to the building blocks of our children we have noticed that our children have some of the best building blocks that we can offer. Here are a few examples:

Stability – My wife and I always prefer to do everything together and we wouldn’t have it any other way. We work, play and eat together almost always. Lunch is the only meal that I miss because of work. I try to make sure that at least 2 days a week plus on the weekend I am eating lunch with my family (especially my wife) either at home or away. I think this shows our children what a true happy marriage is, the fact that we are able to work together and be together all the time and still get along famously. We have disputes but nothing that amounts to some of the ways the couples we are associated with do. They get in fierce arguments from time to time saying hurtful things. What’s a marriage if you don’t have stability on some sort.

Reinforcement – Susanna and I ALWAYS back each other up when it comes to punishments for our children. We try to be creative with our punishments and just. Susanna and I are always there to reinforce what the other has stated is going to happen and we make sure the punishment gets carried out. I think this shows our children that we will always stick together and that nothing can divide us nor will they ever get away with any funny business. Plus it helps that when I was younger I did all the tricks. I am very well educated in the manner of parent vs. child games and shenanigans. We also make sure that our children get plenty of positive reinforcement when it comes to their accomplishments. Children thrive on positivity when and where ever they can get it. So let it be from you! Positive reinforcement shows that we love them no matter what, even when in their eyes they fail. Turn their failure into a success.

Love – I have to be careful not to offend when I make this next statement. We believe that since we have chosen to work from home and homeschool, Susanna and I both feel that we are showing our love for our children in the most intense and positive way that we can stating simply this. “We care enough to want to have every bit of choice on their outcome as an adult as humanly possible.” The world is such a negative place that we want our children to live in a positive reality. Our children don’t need all the drama of the world’s problems on their back which is what they would be exposed to in school and such. Some parents are not fortunate enough to be able to say this. I thank the Lord that we are.

Passion – I am currently reading Trump’s “Think Big and Kick Ass”. He states in one of the early chapters that you must have a passion for what you are doing or DON’T do it at all. That is what I am taking away from the section of the chapter that I am currently reading. I want our children to realize that you must have a passion for everything that you do. My wife’s first passion is the children and their education. My first passion is making my wife happy and so therefore it is also the passion of our children and their education. Life is great.

Building Blocks are the foundation in anything you do. Once you have the building blocks of life beneath you, you will never falter or collapse. Make sure they are sturdy and you will succeed to the highest peninsulas. It is time to make it happen and start forming your building blocks to success. It is never too late. Your assignment for today is to discuss with your children and/or spouse what are the building blocks that you have for yourself and/or your children? Make sure that you and your spouse are in agreement with the children’s building blocks and if not why? Look them over, are they sturdy? Share some of your successes when it comes to your building blocks. Share some of your issues with your building blocks. Build them high, build them strong, and build them proud.

And the last topic.....Yep, I said it, SEX! Seriously are you happy with your sex life? Do something about it!

This was supposed to be posted on Thursday for ABC’s of a Happier Marriage! Enjoy

ATTITUDE is EVERYTHING! As I discussed in my previous post about finances, the same holds true when it comes to a marriage. Are you positive about your marriage or are you one of those people who constantly complain about what your spouse is doing or not doing? Ask yourself something else; Do “I” support them 110%? This could make for a very short relationship if you are doing nothing but complaining and showing no support. Money is the worst evil in a marriage unless you have a great attitude about it, first.

Money can be a good topic to discuss or it can also be a negative topic to talk about, but you and your spouse make that decision. When my wife and I had money issues for the first time, we were at each others throats playing the blame game. What exactly was that solving, besides some lawyer about to make around $3,000 off of our mistake? If you want to throw away $3000, send the check or money order to PO BOX 233, Paola, KS 66071 and we will be glad to take that money off your hands. Instead discuss the situation with your spouse, agree to talk like adults and promise not to attack each other. Don’t play the blame game!

Which brings me to what seems to be another negative word in a marriage, communication, hopefully you have heard of it. For some of you I probably just said another bad word, well it doesn’t have to be. Make it a point to have a meeting with your spouse at least once a week, but should be more. If Susanna and I can do it and we have 7 children, 4 dogs and a very busy life owning several businesses, than I am sure that most of you can do it too!

And the last topic in our short story of attitude for a happier marriage is “SEX”. Yep, I said it, SEX! Hey, you reading this and giggling, you definitely need to talk to your spouse. Seriously are you happy with your sex life? We are all adults here, if you aren’t happy with your sex life or lack of, than WHY? Please don’t share with me, communicate your issues with your spouse. Sit down in your weekly meeting, with no one else around of course, and discuss how things could change or how can I make it better. Do something about it! Do something special or maybe something you haven’t done in a while to show your spouse that you love them and lust after them. It doesn’t hurt to know that your spouse still finds you attractive.

Attitude is everything! Have a great attitude about your marriage and you will have a great marriage. It may take time but it will happen. Your assignment is to start having a private weekly meeting with your spouse and discuss what is bothering you, communicate about your money issues, and discuss that sex life that you want. Assignment #2, yep you have two assignments. Assignment number two is that I want you to pull out an old picture of your spouse from either when you met them or when you married them. LOOK at it! What did you see in them then that you don’t see now? Share with them what you feel has changed. Then share with me your experience about what happened when you talked with them. Take it from a guy who has been married 7 years, has 7 children and the best life possible. Enjoy Life, Marriage, Money, Children and Success even in the small things.

This was supposed to be posted on Wednesday for ABC’s of Large Family Finances! Enjoy

ATTITUDE is EVERYTHING when it comes to your financial status and life. Many people don’t realize that their financial attitude has everything to do with their financial status. I have talked with so many people who are just completely negative about their personal and/or business financial status. Not many people are completely debit free including house, cars, medical and such these days. But, does that mean that we have to complain about it. And of course thanks to the media and the government we are in a “Recession”, or what I refer to as a panic, media hype, and such.

Susanna and I are proud that we owe nothing on either of our vehicles; however, we also don’t drive newer, luxurious vehicles. I personally like our older vehicles because they are more sturdier than the plastic ones that they make nowadays. LIFE IS GREAT, but back to what I am talking about.

We do have medical investments that we are paying on, credit cards, and other such investments. Yes, I called them investments. The “B” word is not allowed in our house because it comes with a negative connotation. That’s right I said there is no such word as “Bills” allowed in our house. Now look what you made me do, that’s $100 in the bad word jar. Now with that $100 my wife gets to go blow it on something non-practical and useful like scrapbooking materials.

Attitude is everything! If you owe some company some where it is because you made an INVESTMENT in their services or products. Therefore you need to do whatever you can to pay them. See if you can barter some sort of services to get it paid for or pay them a little amount each week, biweekly or monthly. Just pay them somehow. You INVESTED in them.

Attitude is everything! Have a great attitude and you will have a great financial situation. It may take time but it will happen. Your assignment is to start changing your vocabulary, and start using the word INVESTMENTS when discussing your financial status. Don’t use that ugly “B” word. You thought I was going to say it, didn’t you?

I am trying to build up my photography portfolio and I need your help. I am going to give away free portrait sessions for the remainder of July, through August and the first part of September. Are you pregnant and want to document your little miracle before and after birth? Are you in the prime years of your life and want to create a lasting memory for all the generations to come or do you have children in their cute years and want some portraits taken? Do you have a family pet or several family pets that you want to scrapbook or share with others? Do you need a beginning of the grade year in school or a beginning of a new life, engagement photo taken? I can help, if you can help me.
